Several states have already legalized cannabis for recreational or medical use. Currently, the states that are most likely to legalize cannabis next are New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The District of Columbia has also legalized recreational cannabis use. Other states that are considering legalizing cannabis include Minnesota, Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, and Hawaii.
